Doomsday Prepping In Malacca :P

Later that evening, I was watching "Red Dawn" at a Coffee shop in Malacca.
People are cussing at the snitch in the movie in every language.

Got a few senior folks relating that to Japanese occupation in WW2.
Heavy duty stuff man. The atmosphere's heavier than lead.
It is almost like Kenneth Johnson's V ( Source: V (1983))

My Stress Break....

I was away for a long time because I developed gastric problem on my day job :P

My doc says just take a week's worth of leave and it will be OK.
No amount of medical help will heal that sort of stress related problem X-(

So I did just that.

I went on a road trip to Malacca in Malaysia

Labrador Park Nerf Game @ Feb 2014

Allow me to start with a bit of back ground about Labrador Park in Singapore:

An old British fort, the Fort Pasir Panjang is located on the hill and cliff next to the sea.

The cliff’s high vantage point led the British to identify it as a defence site to protect the entrance to the harbours of Singapore.

However the site did not see much action during the war.

When the Japanese arrived in Singapore, they, together with their equipment, came from the Northern coast, instead of the Southern coast which the British expected.

No Japanese ships passed through the area at all.

As a result, much of the equipment at the fort was put to waste.

An all volunteer made Nerf Event; this was like planned two months in advance...as a result, everything generally goes

NerfSG Helloween Oct 2013

This always has been NerfSG's tradition to do a Nerf Game on Halloween.
It has its humble roots back from 2008 to the current one.
Nothing fancy schmancy, just a gathering of the Community and slug it out with Foam at special places :)
